Mont Tremblant ski resort has delayed its season start after warm temperatures stalled snow-making efforts needed to prepare the slopes.
Originally set for Nov. 22, the resort released a statement with a video showing an employee standing on green grass, explaining that recent temperatures have stayed above the threshold required for snow production.
“Although everything indicated normal progression towards a season opening scheduled for Nov. 22, temperatures over the past few days have remained above the minimum snow-making threshold,” the statement said.
The resort said they anticipate colder nights ahead. They have also installed additional snow guns on the lower Nansen trail to accelerate snow coverage.
“The Tremblant team shares your impatience and is working hard to offer optimal conditions. We look forward to welcoming you and sharing unforgettable snowy moments with you.”
